During my junior and senior years, I was the Public Relations Manager for Sacred Heart University's weekly student-run newspaper, the Spectrum. I created content for all social media platforms and managed our TikTok and Facebook.
Additionally, my Assistant Manager and I created college-accredited assignments for a 6-person PR team to help with content creation, brainstorming, and any other necessary tasks for that week.

Graphics
Throughout the role, I created various graphics that were posted to our Instagram, Twitter/X, and Facebook.
The first graphic below is an article spotlight that would be made 3 times a week by those on our team. I created the graphic as a Canva template for them to use easily. They would get varying assignments each week, but the creation of this graphic was a constant for 3 different people.
The second graphic below was created to celebrate the graduating seniors in May 2022. After sending out a Google Form to get everyone's answers and photos, I used Canva to design a template. After that, it was easy to make a bunch of graphics that looked the same but with varying colors.
Videos
In August 2020, I took the initiative and launched the Spectrum TikTok. Over the course of 2 school years, I created a total of 59 short-form videos that were posted to this account and our Instagram.

Since I was a full-time student at the same time, I created functional systems to make the content quickly. For the "new issue" TikTok above, I designed a template in Canva that I would then save as a video each week. It made things smoother when all I had to do was edit the text, change the images, and export it as an mp4 file, all in one place. I also made sure to use trending and catchy music and kept it around 15 seconds in length.

One of my favorite things to do each semester was introduce our Editorial Board. Since we were 26 people strong, these TikToks were broken into 3 parts. Since the first video in the fall of 2021 fell around Halloween, I was inspired by this holiday. I used a festive song and an effect to make it look like an old film. I created this TikTok in Adobe Premiere Pro and chose a brush typeface to add to the spooky look.
